Fitness sweets

For many people, one of the reasons that helps them get through even the toughest workouts is knowing that they have a tasty reward waiting for them at the finish line. Sometimes that reward is a nice warm bath, or sometimes it's a nice, post-workout snack fitness sweets.

In short, fitness desserts, intended as the healthiest desserts after training, are a set of recipes that we recommend you try. Not only will they allow you to reward your efforts, but they will do by giving you very interesting nutritional elements, with a fresh and pleasant flavor. Sweetened with fruit, rather than refined sugars, and packed with high-protein, high-fiber ingredients, such as Greek yogurt, these fitness desserts actually have the nutrients you need to fill up when you're done sweating!

In short, as long as the dessert you chose as a reward is not rich in refined sugars and has the right amount of proteins and healthy carbohydrates (those obtained from fruit and whole grains), you can be sure that the dessert can work as a post-workout snack!

Knowing how much and what kind of food you need after a workout depends on so many factors - age, weight, gender, intensity, duration, and type of exercise, just to name a few. That said, if you've been doing moderate-intensity cardio for about 30 minutes, for example, a good post-workout snack will have around 150 - 250 calories, at least 10 - 15 grams of protein, plus some healthy carbohydrates.

That said, let's try to share some very tasty recipes together that we invite you to experiment (let us know how it went!).

Bananas and yogurt

Let's start with a very tasty one fitness dessert based on bananas and yogurt. The ingredients are very simple. Just get yourself:

  • 1/2 cup low-fat plain Greek yogurt,
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of natural peanut butter.

Once this is done, using a food processor, mix all the ingredients, scraping the sides from time to time, until a smooth and fluffy paste is formed. In general, it will be enough for you to work in this way, with the robot, for about 1 minute.

Then, freeze for 15 minutes before serving. If there is any leftover mixture, keep it frozen for later use!

The nutrients of this simple recipe are really interesting:

Greek yogurt berry tart

Let's change the regime a little with a splendid one berry tart, probably one of the healthiest and tastiest summer desserts! Made with a gluten-free crust, a creamy Greek yogurt filling and plenty of fresh berries to flavor it all, it's incredibly easy to make and has a flavor that will please all your diners.

As for the tart, the mixture is made without gluten and without cereals, because it is made with almond flour and crystallized ginger! After cooking, the consistency will be that of a golden brown and crunchy, and can therefore be an excellent base for the sweet and creamy filling of Greek yogurt.

Then add the fresh berries and you will have a really yummy dessert, tasty and full of healthy fats, proteins and nutrients thanks to fresh fruit. In short, a great example of how healthy desserts can be beautiful and tasty, right?
